School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time Position
Location: Belle Chasse, LA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in Belle Chasse, LA.
Responsibilities:
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Assess and evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs.
- Provide therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students academic and social success.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy progress, and compliance with IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for appropriate services and accommodations.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Licensure: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Louisiana.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
